Galgotias University, School of law, CIPRS organized a National Seminar on IP Transaction and Management virtually on the occasion of Intellectual property day on 24/04/2021 i.e., on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The programme started at 1:30 p.m. with the opening remark by Ms. Paramita Choudhury Coordinator CIPRS. She introduced our guest speaker Mr. Abhishek Sarma, Assistant Professor, Alliance School of law, Alliance University, for this seminar. Thereafter, Dr. Namita Singh Malik, Dean, School of Law, Galgotias University welcomed the guest speaker. She also expressed her gratitude towards faculties & students who participated in the event. She categorized IPR&rsquos vital role in growing the economies of developed and developing countries. She also emphasized that participants will be enlightened to have knowledge from this event.

Mr. Abhishek Sarma also welcomed all faculties and students & thanked for giving him the platform. The Key speaker shared that IPR Management is very broad platform. Speaker said that we manage our IP in each & every step. Transaction is a part of management. He marked his words that it is innovation which is keeping brand alive. It never let a brand die. Innovation changes from one perspective to another perspective. Esteemed speaker shared various new innovation by giving multiple examples, discussed about various types of innovation & elaborated Innovation matrix from the product view as well as from the market view.

Mr. Sarma also highlighted some provisions of Paris convention and then discussed about DOBLIN&rsquoS ten. These are ideologies behind innovations. Later on, answered Why, When and How IP Transaction? Speaker talked about due diligence, both external and internal and its process and also laid down various factors driving IP Value. Lastly, discussed about valuation model.

More than 190 students across the Nation participated in this event. A vote of thanks was given by Ms. Ashmika Agrawal faculty SOL & Member CIPRS.
